Get to to know your teachers... Lauren.

Sharing who we are one teacher at a time.

We hope you are enjoying these blogs and that they help you feel more connected to us!!

Meet Lauren!

  • How would you describe your teaching style?

Comfortable, but also encouraging. I like my students to feel comfortable and safe on the mat, but also encourage them to challenge themselves in their own unique way during my flows - and maybe they exceed they’re own expectations of themselves by the end of our time together :)

  • What has teaching yoga taught you about yourself?

That yoga is not just about doing asana and taking class. I connect so much with yoga when I guide a class or privates. It warms my heart, is meditative to me, as well as healing and grounding - which is something I never knew about my practice with yoga until I began teaching!

  • What are your favorite and least favorite yoga poses?

My least favorite is Pincha mayurasana (forearm stand). My favorite is Eka pada galavasana (flying pigeon).

  • What do enjoy doing when you’re not teaching yoga?

I am a professional dancer and Pilates teacher apprentice. So when I’m not with my loved ones or taking a nature walk/checking out the ocean, I’m rehearsing, teaching dance or doing Pilates.

  • What song do you never get sick of?

Coldplay- “Magic”

  • What advice would you give for someone just starting their yoga practice?

If you have a mat and a body, you can do yoga!

  • If you could teach any celebrity, living or dead, who would it be and why?

Carole King. I love her music. Her lyrics are groovy, but also sentimental to me. I feel like she was a real queen and would be down to do some yoga!
