Acupuncture Initial Visit
(90 min $180)
With the primary goal of getting to know you and addressing your specific health concerns, the first acupuncture visit will last for approximately 90 minutes. This allows time for you to complete the Health History and Consent forms, for an in-depth consultation with your practitioner, and for you to experience a full acupuncture treatment. Multiple modalities of East Asian medicine may be employed in addition to acupuncture during the session, and suggestions for continued home practice can be offered. Your individual needs will dictate the course of a given treatment or prescription. Treatments can vary greatly from person to person and session to session, and your personal progress will determine your customized schedule for follow-up sessions.
Acupuncture Follow-up Visit
(60 min $130)
Your follow-up visit will begin with a brief conversation where we will review your response to the previous treatment and identify continued or new approaches to your specific health concerns. An acupuncture treatment will follow this diagnostic process, and an additional East Asian medical therapy may be indicated and applied.
Acupuncture 90 minute Follow-up Visit
(90 min, $180)
Need to luxuriate in wellness? A 90-minute session will allow for a full acupuncture treatment with abundant time to experience ancillary modalities. Your practitioner will also recommend this treatment for those times when a more in depth consultation and/or reassessment is prescribed.
Maintenance / Detox / Auricular Acupuncture
(60 min, $30)
Offered as a follow-up session for individual treatments
Referral and appointment are required.
Auricular acupuncture involves the insertion of needles into the auricles of the ears in order to help regulate the body's corresponding internal organs, structures, and functions. Prior to treatment, you will undergo a brief diagnostic process in order to enhance the efficacy of your treatment and optimize your relaxation time.
Community acupuncture is an affordable option taken place in a relaxed, communal setting. Your session will take place in a group treatment space while you’re cozied up in a semi-private zero-gravity reclining chair.
East Asian Medical Healing Sessions at Modern Traditions
“At the center of your being you have the answer; you know who you are and you know what you want” - Lao Tzu
(60 min, $130)
This potent, alchemical treatment is designed to reset you from the inside out. A medical qigong session includes a diagnostic process, intention setting and treatment plan, as well as the use of exercises, postures, finger knittings, chanting and breathing patterns in order to cultivate qi (the vital energy that innervates and surrounds all things). By focusing on qi cultivation, you will develop the personal qualities that help to improve your health and wellbeing, accord your inner world with your outer reality and bring clarity and perspective to the challenges of daily life.
Qigong Manifestation Session
(45 min, $120)
Have you forgotten that you are the center of your universe? Does it feel like life is happening to you and not through you? Take this deep dive into the inner landscape where you can reclaim your center, your compassion, your truth. Manifestation in its simplest form means “to reveal”. Through the use of Daoist & Eastern principles and Medical Qigong techniques (resonances, breath patterns, finger knittings, postures, intentions, affirmations, visualizations and talisman creation) you can become clear in your true desires, potential and purpose. During this session, you will cultivate a meditative practice to which you can return, as needed, to remind yourself of your truth and leave with a feeling of empowerment that you can have the beautiful reality you seek. All you have to do is look within!
