Team of Teachers
Alice is a Reiki Master and yoga teacher teaching Vinyasa, baby + kids yoga, and Kundalini Yoga. She loves empowering others through various modalities of healing. In her yoga classes, she provides a safe space for students to connect to the stillness within.
Alice began her personal practice in 2002, and was guided to receive her training in 2015. When she is not teaching, she is probably singing in one of her music projects.
Corinne’s love of yoga spans nearly 20 years. She realized the practice was special from her very first class and shortly thereafter knew she would one day teach yoga so she could share its many benefits with others.
Community is important to Corinne, so she is excited to be on the Alchemy House schedule and teach yoga in Atlantic Highlands, where she lives. When she’s not on the mat, she’s likely hard at work as part of Slack’s leadership team, where she infuses mindfulness and the many things she’s learned through yoga into how she leads others. She also loves to hike, bike, stand up paddleboard, travel as much as she can, and cook. In fact, she and her partner are in the process of writing a vegetarian cookbook.
Corinne’s classes are challenging, but accessible to all levels. Her sequences tend to focus on heart and hip-opening, dynamic movement, and always draw attention to the breath.
Jordan wants to help you understand the body you’re in.
A 1000+ hour teacher of movement, yin and anatomy, she is a born and raised Jersey girl, so naturally she doesn't like to follow the rules. Her teaching is focused on helping students cultivate an intimate relationship with the body, encouraging exploration and never really taking any “pose” too seriously.
Her movement is functional, meaning it works with the way you move your body in everyday life rather than forcing an uncomfortable or unnatural position on your bones and joints.
She throws out a lot of “traditional” cueing so we move slowly and deliberately to allow the body to express itself in a way that feels good, strong, secure and natural whether it’s child’s pose or handstand.
You will find tradition in her treatment of this practice – honoring and respecting all 8 limbs, history, philosophy and cultural practices.
Jordan, like all of our teachers, believes fully in inclusivity no matter your gender, race, age, size, or sexual orientation and is also HAES and trauma sensitive.
Her classes are for EVERY BODY, whether you move like you or use the hour to lay on your mat – she's here for it, and you!
Gina began her yoga practice upon moving to NYC in 2005. Her work as an esthetician was strenuous on her body, and yoga brought her physical relief.
After two life transforming trips to India, she decided to delve deeper into the world of yoga by obtaining her 200 hr RYT in 2011. Her 13 years of experience as a holistic esthetician informs her approach to her teaching style. Gina has a passion for helping people be their best self and believes yoga is the true definition of the word: the union between mind and body.
In addition to being a yoga instructor and licensed esthetician in both NY and NJ, she is also a certified Reiki practitioner, trained in yoga therapeutics, studies Ayurveda and aromatherapy, and is the founder of Alchemy Holistics, a botanical-based skincare line made for sensitive skin.
Gina currently lives in Leonardo, NJ with her husband Pete and orange tabby, George.
Joelle's passion for yoga began 18 years ago while taking a yoga class at a local YMCA. Joelle found that yoga made her feel really good and relieved stress while going through a challenging time in her life. Occasional classes evolved into a daily practice and a love of yoga that inspired her to become a certified instructor, to share her experiences, and help others.
Joelle has 17 years of experience teaching vinyasa yoga, gentle and power flows to children, adults, and seniors. She trained directly under Baron Baptiste, founder of Baptiste Power Yoga. She is also a certified Pilates and Spin instructor.
Joelle recently moved to Middletown with her husband Paul. She enjoys boating and spending time on the water with her 3 sons and dog Lili. She can be found practicing yoga dockside, on the bow or even on a paddle board!
Marcie believes that yoga is an opportunity to find joy and peace in movement. She practiced yoga for the first time in 2001 and found that it gave her a sense of grounding, happiness and fulfillment. Later through her personal recovery journey, she developed a meditation practice that helped her to develop a better understanding of her body, mind and emotions.
In addition, the learnings that she gained through mindfulness, strengthened her asana experience and propelled her to participate in Tula Yoga’s 200 Hour Teacher Training in 2020. Marcie guides yoga, both in studio and on the beach, and meditation practices with The Phoenix Sober Active Community.
She brings her intention to serve and to connect to all whose paths she crosses.
